Mehdi Mahbub has been appointed as the Official Representative by the Ministry of Tourism and Cultural Heritage of Uzbekistan in Bangladesh to promote and develop tourism spheres in Uzbekistan.

Mehdi Mahbub has been assigned by Textile and Garments Authority of Uzbekistan to perform the following functions as its Advisor:

Supporting in finding experts from Bangladesh to work on local production mills in Uzbekistan and further assisting in the skill development and human resource training for the industry.
Supporting in promotion of Uzbekistan’s textile brands on the world market.
Mehdi Mahbub is also working to develop people to people relationship between Uzbekistan and Bangladesh in the areas of tourism, aviation, communication, agriculture etc. Under his initiative www.uzbangla.com website is developed that intends to contribute in strengthening understanding between two friendly countries which have strong connections by history, culture, religion etc.
Exporters Association of Bangladesh is an apex trade body for Bangladeshi exporters, incorporated by Bangladesh Government in order to formulate policy concerning export trade, oversee the challenges, monitor existing situation of export, seek government assistance for export trade, submit views for inclusion in the national budget, identify national and international barriers and suggest measures for addressing the bottlenecks & impediments for smooth & orderly running of the export trade of the country. As an Advisor to EAB, Mehdi Mahbub has been working closely with EAB board including its President, Mr Abdus Salam Murshedy MP.
Korea Institute for Industrial Economics and Trade (KIET) is Korea’s most premium autonomous research center, affiliated with the National Research Council under government of Korea. KIET initiated in 2017 a study on Bangladesh’s southern part’s business and trade possibilities; Mehdi Mahbub’s Best Sourcing was the local consultants for the project.
Mehdi Mahbub has worked for more than 10 years as a Consultant to the Chairman of Youngone Corporation since 2007. As a Bangladesh Specialist and Business Researcher, Mehdi worked closely with Mr Kihak Sung, Chairman of Youngone and KEPZ Corporation who has become President of International Textile Manufacturers Federation (ITMF). As the head of business and marketing, Mehdi Mahbub helped SML to establish its office in Bangladesh and set up production base at Dhaka Export Processing Zone.
During 2001-2006, Mehdi was the Country Manager of RVL Packaging which was later acquired by Avery Dennison, a US-based Fortune 500 Company. Under his leadership, Avery Dennison Bangladesh Limited was established at Dhaka Export Processing Zone. Later it acquired Paxar Bangladesh.
Mehdi worked as a Marketing & Business Development Advisor to Montrims Limited, the largest trims manufacturing facility of Bangladesh.
From 1995-2001, Mehdi worked with Youngone – Seoul based world’s largest technical outerwear manufacturer in different capacities including as Special Assistant to the Chairman, Dhaka Office In charge. He also worked as Youngone Country Representative for Nepal, based in Kathmandu.
Mehdi has a great passion to work in the humanitarian field. During the devastating flood of 1988, as a student volunteer, Mehdi joined with UK based international charity, Oxfam. He continued to work on post-flood rehabilitation and other relief efforts of Oxfam. He also worked extensively during the Cyclone of 1991 and post-cyclone projects as a volunteer and program associate.
